Welcome to an amazing school year!
My name is Trisha Alaniz. I am a 6th grade Bilingual Teacher at Martinez Elementary and I am so excited for the 2023-2024 school year.
I attended Sharyland ISD for all my education PK-12; I graduated from Sharyland HS in 2011. For college, I attended UTPA and received my Bachelors degree in Rehabilitative Services in 2015. I decided I did not want to stop there and continued my education - I received my Masters degree in Special Education in 2016 at UTRGV.
This is my seventh year teaching at R.D. Martinez Elementary. I taught 4th grade for five years and this year will be my second year teaching 6th grade. I am honored to be R.D. Martinez's 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year. I look forward to being your child's teacher. I truly believe that every single child can succeed with support and motivation.
