Welcome to an amazing school year!
My name is Trisha Alaniz. I am a 4th grade Bilingual Teacher at Martinez Elementary and I am so excited for the 2024-2025 school year.
I attended Sharyland ISD for all my education PK-12; I graduated from Sharyland HS in 2011. For college, I attended UTPA and received my Bachelors degree in Rehabilitative Services in 2015. I decided I did not want to stop there and continued my education - I received my Masters degree in Special Education in 2016 at UTRGV.
This will be my eighth year teaching at R.D. Martinez Elementary. I taught 4th grade for five years, 6th grade for two years, and this school year I am going back to where it all started - 4th grade. I was honored to have been R.D. Martinez's 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year. I look forward to being your child's teacher. I truly believe that every single child can succeed with support and motivation.
